3 to 13 September 2014 9-th Internationa Art Symposium "Atelier an der Donau"
at the Depot, Mankerstraße 26, Poechlarn, Austria

Annually - since 2006 - Pöchlarn, the birthplace of Oskar Kokoschka, is transformed into a city of artists! For 10 days around 30 internationally reknown artists - painters, graphic designers, sculptors - come to our city to live, work an exchange experiences. They can make new friends and contacts for their careers and over the years, they form a veritable network of artists.

In the past we have had many interesteing workplaces, like the old castle of Pöchlarn steamship 'Schönbrunn', 'Negrelli' or the'Depot' a former factory space of the company 'Terazzo Gierer'.

Without a doubt the climax of every symposium is the selection of the 'art-award of Pöchlarn' by a highly qualified jury.

The organizers, first and foremost Atanas Kolev, artistic head, and Gerhard Maller, chairman, are pleased with the success of the past years and the organisational team. Various characters and talents are tirelessly working for the prosperity of Pöchlarn as a city of the arts and to carry its name as the birthplace of Oskar Kokoschka into the world.
